Here’s more about me and The Tidy Abode…

I’m a SoCal girl with a love of traveling, food, and DIY-ing. I’ve been to 25 countries so far, spent some time as a food blogger, and made furniture, clothing, even this website from scratch. I believe in following your passion, and that’s actually how The Tidy Abode started!

I have always been the most organized person that people know, and people constantly asked me to help them out. I was receiving referrals and would work them around my day job in Operations Management, where my goal was to find the most efficient system. Sound familiar? 😉 I loved my work, but I loved the feeling of helping people directly even more!


The goal in starting The Tidy Abode was to bring organization to people in the real world who crave the order that a perfectly labeled pantry gives, however they also have to deal with the chaos that happens with everyday life.

The “yin and yang” philosophy describes how seemingly opposite forces are actually interconnected (such as chaos and organization), and every system is designed with this concept in mind. In fact, The Tidy Abode logo reflects the “yin and yang” concept because we hope to achieve balance for both our lives and yours!
