Here’s a quick project that we put together as part of an entire room, but it was such a hit that we had to share it as inspiration for your own bookshelves!

We were working with a client who prefers to have everything hidden away and behind closed doors, so this open bookshelf was a major eyesore for her. We were also working within a budget, so we headed to IKEA to grab a ton of the white storage boxes you see below to keep it looking clean with a low cost. They no longer make the sizes that we used, but you can find similar ones here and here!

Of course, we purged, sorted, organized, and labeled everything so there would be no confusion about where everything was located. In fact, we did such a good job that we ended up with two empty boxes for future photos and souvenirs to be stored away. 😊

Even though our client wanted everything as white and clean as possible, she didn’t want to hide away the books. What we ended up doing was turning her shelf into a rainbow of inspiration! We asked if she wanted it sorted by category or any other system, but she left it to us, and it turned out to be the cherry on top of the perfect organization solution! She was thrilled with the results and loved it. Score!
